The beauty in the imperfections of dilapidated structures can be transformed into the perfection of its new purpose. If walls could speak, they would have the most stories to tell – stories of antiquity, riches, scandal, and reconciliation. The project combines an ancient structure with contemporary furniture, creating a beautiful combination of old and new. The plan where the sun’s rays through glass windows flood the previously interior space, reflecting light and allowing birds to fly across the nave and vegetation subtly creeps in through the windows and over the walls.
